This was a sweet little newborn photoshoot I did for Agastya and his family, about a month after he was born. There is something really special about photographing a baby this young, everything is still so new, and the family is usually just settling into this whole new chapter of their lives.
I mostly do lifestyle newborn photography, keeping things candid and natural. But when it comes to newborn photoshoots, I do like to include one or two set up shots to add a bit of magic to the set. For this session, I created a scene of a stork carrying baby Agastya, a classic newborn photography idea that never really gets old and always makes for one of the sweetest images in the whole set.
The rest of the shoot stayed true to my usual style, soft, natural and candid, letting Agastya be exactly as he was in those first few weeks. These early days pass by so quickly, and a newborn photoshoot is really about holding onto that fleeting stage before it changes.
