I am Shambhavi Kartik, a maternity and pregnancy photographer with over 10 years of experience. I work with parents-to-be across Bengaluru, Delhi, Gurugram, Chennai and Noida.

I started this journey when I was pregnant myself, living in Delhi. Over the years, I have done maternity photoshoots across Delhi NCR, capturing real moments for expecting moms. I later moved my practice to Bengaluru, where I am now based.

Having been pregnant twice myself, I understand this phase from the inside, not just from behind the camera. I know what it feels like to stand in front of a mirror and feel unsure about your changing body. I know the tiredness, the swollen feet and also the quiet joy that sneaks in when you least expect it. This is why I do not just click photos. I guide you through the whole process - from helping you figure out the right time to plan your shoot, to suggesting what to wear, to even thinking about footwear that will keep you comfortable through the session.

My goal is simple: to make you look really good while still looking completely like yourself. That is what makes a maternity portrait timeless.

I do both indoor maternity photoshoot and outdoor maternity photoshoot. Indoor maternity shoot sessions takes place at the comfort of your house. We will use the best ventilated spaces around the house to make the photos look even more personalized. Some moms love the green outdoors and would like to get the shoot done there. Both work beautifully and I will help you decide what suits you best. I offer two maternity session duration, 60 minutes and 90 minutes. While my style is candid and natural, I also shoot aesthetically posed portraits that become timeless photos that could go up on your wall.

A. No, I do not work out of a fixed studio. I shoot indoors at your own home across Bengaluru. This way you are surrounded by your own things, in a space you already feel comfortable in, and that comfort always shows in the photos.

A. No, I do not provide costumes. My whole idea is to keep your photos natural and timeless. I do not follow trends that look dated in a few years, so I always suggest wearing something from your own wardrobe that makes you feel like yourself.

Q.4 Will you involve my husband in the shoot?

A. Yes, your partner is welcome to be part of the session if you would like. I keep these moments simple and classy rather than overly posed, so the connection still feels real.

A. Yes, I collaborate with talented local makeup artists. Makeup and hair can easily be arranged for your session for an extra cost.

A. Yes, prints are available as an additional service if you would like physical copies of your photos to keep.

A. Yes, I can include simple, personal props like your ultrasound picture, booties, or a slate as part of the shoot. This can be discussed in advance.

A. You will get a curated set of edited photos from your session. The exact number depends on the length of the session you choose and we can talk about this beforehand so there are no surprises.
