A Spring Maternity Shoot at Lodhi Garden
Every season paints Lodhi Garden a little differently, and spring might just be its best look yet. This particular maternity shoot was peppered with lots of greens and magentas and it turned out to be one of my favourite outdoor maternity photography sessions in Delhi this year.
Shipra brought a quiet elegance to every frame and the whole shoot felt effortless from start to finish. This is what makes maternity photography in Delhi so rewarding for me.
This session was a mix of candid walks and posed portraits. Shipra wore soft flowing outfits that worked well against the green backdrop and we picked spots near the old ruins and open lawns for variety. The magenta flowers in bloom added a natural pop of colour to several frames without needing any props or added decor.
As a maternity photographer in Delhi, my aim is always to keep the shoot relaxed. I do not push for forced poses. Instead, I let the mother walk around, talk, laugh and settle into the space and the best portraits usually happen in between the posed shots.
On a lighter note, the chaiwala at Lodhi Garden has started recognising me.
