This outdoor maternity photoshoot was done at Kasavanahalli Lake in Bangalore during the evening golden hour. The session included natural portraits of the mother-to-be, couple photographs and saree-based maternity portraits against the lake and surrounding greenery.
There is something truly special about documenting a mother's journey before her little one arrives. When “A” contacted me, we decided to do a lakeside maternity photoshoot. Surrounded by open green spaces and calm water, the location offered a natural, vibrant backdrop for candid maternity portraits.
As always, I spend time in understanding what kind of photos does the client want. She shared that she would love to drape a saree for the photoshoot, and the moment she mentioned it, I was excited about the shoot. For A, it was not just a styling choice, it was an extension of who she is, and that kind of authenticity always shows up in the photographs. Her comfort in front of the camera made the session effortless, resulting in natural expressions and genuine moments with her husband.
We scheduled the shoot during the evening to make the most of the soft, flattering light. As the sun lowered, warm light illuminated her face beautifully, while rays filtering through the trees added depth and texture to the images.
