A Breezy First Birthday Session at Lodhi Garden
N's session celebrating his first year was all of 90 minutes, but in that short window he managed to give me a ton of expressions and moments. The whole shoot felt as breezy as it could get. We spent time exploring the varied, colourful flowers dotted around the park and every corner gave us something different to work with.
I loved how involved N's parents were during this pre-birthday shoot, darting in and out of the frame whenever it was needed. That kind of involvement always adds a layer of warmth to candid natural outdoor photography that posed shots simply cannot match.
I always tell my clients that if you have a good time, your photos will turn out beautiful on their own. This first birthday photoshoot in Delhi was proof of exactly that. No pressure, no forced smiles, just a toddler being himself in a park full of flowers.
While Delhi NCR and Gurgaon have open and easily accessible green spaces for outdoor family photoshoots, Bangalore is a bit different. Green spaces here are mostly limited to apartment complexes and their manicured lawns. However Bangalore makes up for it with its lakes, which work beautifully as outdoor photoshoot locations.
