Outdoor First Birthday Party in Gymkhana, Delhi
Little A was all bundled up in a deep red jacket, looking absolutely adorable. It had rained just a few hours before the party, so there was a slight chill in the air. But the sun peeked out just in time. By the time the celebrations began, the weather had cleared up nicely, setting the tone for the rest of the afternoon.
I photographed this beautifully done outdoor birthday party at Delhi's Gymkhana Club, celebrating A's turning one. As an outdoor first birthday photographer in Delhi NCR, these sessions are always a treat because the natural setting does half the work for you.
The decor was done in a fun rubber-duck theme, which looked even prettier against the lush green lawns of the Gymkhana. Between the pretty setup, the fresh post-rain weather and A's happy little smiles, it turned out to be such a lovely afternoon to shoot, exactly the kind of garden birthday photography that works so well for a lawn or outdoor venue.
As a kids and family event photographer in Bangalore and Delhi NCR, I find outdoor birthday parties especially rewarding to cover. Between the natural light, the greenery and a baby exploring her surroundings, there's so much beauty to capture without needing much else. The extra room to move around also means the kids are freer to explore, which makes for some of the most candid, natural photos.
