Every corner of the banquet hall where A's first birthday party was held had been beautifully decorated. A photo booth with pictures from his first year to a chalkboard listing his baby statistics, everything was cute and put together with so much thought. This first birthday event photography and videography session captured every one of those details.
It was a small gathering of family and friends, and I was the kids and baby photographer covering the entire event. A broke into a smile whenever he heard music or whenever he was with his mumma, and those little reactions ended up being some of the best moments from the day. So much love was showered on him by everyone who came by, his uncle, aunt, grandparents and his parents' friends. It is these small gatherings that often make for the warmest first birthday photoshoots, since every hug and every smile feels personal rather than performed.
