I had covered this family's wedding once before, for their cousin, four years back. I never imagined I would get another chance to photograph this extended family again, this time for a rustic, heart-touching Rajasthani wedding.
I love weddings like this because nothing feels staged. Everything happens at once, and it takes a photojournalistic eye to pick out the frames that actually matter.
I started with natural bride and groom portraits, followed by a baraat full of energy and movement. The jaimala was great fun to photograph, with relatives and friends cheering from every side, and I stayed ready throughout for candid family photography too.
The pheras brought the day together, with the family watching every ritual closely, a true example of documentary wedding photography.
There are so many images I love from this wedding, so I have split the story into two parts. This is the second one.
I am now based in Bangalore, bringing this same candid, documentary approach to weddings there, while continuing to cover Delhi NCR and Gurugram.
